Lead. Follow. Rotate. Express yourself.
RoleRotation brings leading, following and changing roles into one shared dance. Learning both perspectives develops timing, connection, musicality and the confidence to respond creatively to your partner.
Two approaches open the conversation: a dancer can playfully take the lead through an agreed, readable transition, or the current leader can invite their partner to take over. Both rely on awareness, communication and trust.

Our activism challenges the idea that gender determines who leads, follows or how someone should move. We advocate teaching both roles, making styling available to everyone and creating welcoming spaces across identities, cultures and abilities.
Through workshops, teacher education, community conversations and inclusive events such as Terra Livre, we turn those values into practice.

Our international teaching connects with dancers and communities across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Oceania. Each local scene contributes its own history and ideas: dancing both roles existed before our movement, and that diversity remains part of its strength.
